Certified or Advanced? Which training should I choose?
“I’d like to attend a Scrum Master or Product Owner training, which one should I select? What is the difference between the Advanced, Certified and the Advanced Certified course?”
Questions to consider
We get this question often. It is not the easiest task to navigate through Agile training offerings. In order to help our participants decide which course will offer them the best solution, we simply ask a couple of questions:
• What language do you need the training in?
• Do you need an internationally acknowledged certification?
• Do you have hands-on Agile experience already?
• What is your goal with the training?
• Do you need customization (in case of corporate training)?
With these answers, we can guide you to the most suitable training for you. Check out our guide & choose the best training for you:
Note: any Certified training builds on basic agile knowledge and for this reason we recommend attending the Scrum / Agile Elevation Training as a first step.
Advanced and Certified – details and specifics
Advanced training
You can attend the Advanced Scrum Master and Product Owner training either in Hungarian or in English, delivered by trainers with a good understanding of the local market and conditions. At the end, you receive our own Sprint Consulting certification without any exam. These more practical courses build on hands-on Scrum and Agile experience, and provide an advanced toolset to help trainees advance their organization to higher levels of Agility.
We recommend choosing this training if you already have practical Agile knowledge, you work in Agile and want to improve. It is also a good choice if you need customization (coaching can be included) and Hungarian is needed as the training’s language. Advanced training can also be an option if you are already Certified, and would like to take your knowledge to the next level.
Certified training
Certified courses – like Certified ScrumMaster or Certified Product Owner, are delivered only in English only by our internationally acclaimed trainers. By active and understanding participation (and a successful, multiple answer exam in your own time in case of the CSM) you can gain a Scrum Alliance certification and two years of Scrum Alliance membership. These practical courses build on some basic Scrum and Agile knowledge.
A Certified training is your best pick if you are after an international certificate or you would like to reward your employees with such. We can also recommend it if you have only a basic Agile knowledge and you don’t work in Agile (yet).
Advanced Certified training
If you would like to continue your Scrum Alliance certification path, you can do so with the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) and the Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO) training. Just like their “basic” version, they are delivered in English by international trainers and end with a 2-year Scrum Alliance membership without taking any exam. A-CSM and A-CSPO provide the most advanced toolset to help practitioners advance their organization to higher levels of Agility.
Choose the Advanced Certified courses if you are already Certified by Scrum Alliance with practical Agile knowledge and the highest available certification is needed. As these certificates are quite rare compared to the regular CSM and CSPO, you can easily distinguish yourself in the global marketplace and stand out in your industry.
